a fantasy, of course.  Kind of like Santa.

If I could figure out a way to do this for free and still make money, I’d have more business than I could handle and would have no competition.  But I haven’t figured it out yet, so for now, we still charge.  Bah humbug!

After reading my newsletter about the lady who thought she sold her home, so had given up her beloved pets, a reader shot me this reply, and I quote:
“Thank you for sharing that story, and your heartwarming reaction.  I have been in real estate for almost 25 years, and I know there is no more warm and compassionate group of people in this world than hard money lenders.”
Perfectly timed, very well said, dripping with sarcasm and hilarious!  I recognize that we are all painted with the same brush, but of course I want to think that the paint on my brush is a different color.

Best real estate investing book on buy and hold:
This book is what made me buckle down and realize that buy and hold was for me.  I had an epiphany when I realized the 4 ways you make money in real estate rentals, and I didn’t even realize about the magic multiplier: leverage.  I  have read it multiple times, and still go back to it to get the parts I missed.  It’s not get rich quick, it’s get rich slow.  Actually, it’s more like reaching critical mass:  having enough income to support your lifestyle without working again.
